Dr. Alla Katsnelson has been writing for SPLASH!® Milk Science Update since 2022. She is a freelance science writer and editor based in Western Massachusetts focusing on biomedical research, health, and technology. She completed a doctorate in physiology and neuroscience at the University of Oxford and a graduate degree in science communication at UC Santa Cruz. She is a regular contributor at Chemical & Engineering News and has also written for The New York Times, Knowable, Scientific American, Nature, BBC Focus, and other outlets.
