Dr Henrik J Andersen joined the IMGC Scientific Advisory Committee in 2014. Dr. Andersen is currently an independent consultant for academic, industry and government sectors, board member at public funds and external lecturer in Innovation Management at Copenhagen Business School. He was Senior Executive R&D Advisor at Arla Foods amba where he identified and initiated long term research and innovation activities. Moreover, he was responsible for presenting Arla Foods in research and education policy issues. From 2014 to 2021 he was employed in the Arla Foods subsidiary Arla Foods Ingredients Group P/S as Senior Executive R&D Advisor to drive open innovation initiatives and guide the AFI business position in a 10 to 15 year time perspective. Before this position with Arla Foods Ingredients, Dr.  Andersen held positions as Head of Open Innovation and Corporate R&D Director of Arla Foods amba and served as Research Director, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor at governmental research institutes and universities within the areas of food chemistry, food production and quality, food processing, food packaging and storage, food-omics and nutrition. Dr. Henrik J Andersen holds a Ph.D. in Food Chemistry and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Food Science and Technology in Copenhagen.
